We manufacture and supply Tandem axle bodies for a major European truck manufacturer. We produce the axle bodies in series and we deliver exactly the number of products that the customer needs every week.

We take care of the entire process for our customer. We purchase all materials and take care of all operations, such as casting, machining, bending / forming, assembling, welding and conversing. Where necessary, we work together with partners who, like OMT, work with a high quality standard to guarantee the same quality and process stability.

With our state of the art welding robots we will be able to reduce manufacturing time and costs for customer specific parts or assemblies.

1: 1 Qualified Tandem axle bodies

We use the following materials for the production of the FAN axle bodies:

  • S355J2
  • S420MC
  • 25CrMo4.

The welding of the axle bodies is performed by advanced welding robots. This is extremely suitable for serial production and fast, consistent and efficient welding. All shaft welds are 1: 1 qualified and are tested by an independent inspection party on the basis of a product certification. In order to guarantee quality, our own quality department has also drawn up a (welding) quality plan.

Our customers place high demands on our quality system. To meet these requirements, we have all the necessary quality standards. We are IS 9001 certified. We are also familiar with CP (Control Plans), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis). Our welders and operators are ASME IX and ISO 9606 certified and our welding procedures meet the EN 15614 standard.

As a supplier of automotive parts we are always looking for improvements in the design and manufacturing process which will improve the assembly and reduces costs.
